Gaza School Hit By Israeli Strike, Resulting In Over 100 Deaths

Israel-Hamas Conflict: The official Palestinian news agency reported that an Israeli strike on a Gaza school, which was sheltering displaced people, killed over 100 Palestinians and injured dozens on Saturday. The Israeli army stated that it targeted a Hamas command center.

The Hamas-run Gaza government media office stated that the Israeli strikes targeted displaced people during their Fajr (dawn) prayers, which led to a rapid increase in the number of casualties.

In its statement, the Israeli army said that its air forces targeted a command and control center that served as a hideout for Hamas terrorists and commanders.

The IAF accurately targeted Hamas terrorists operating in a Hamas command and control center located in the Al-Taba’een school, next to a mosque in Daraj Tuffah, which serves as a shelter for Gaza City residents.

Tensions Escalate As 60,000 Palestinians Flee To Khan Younis

United Nations spokesperson Florencia Soto Nino said that by Friday, at least 60,000 Palestinians had fled to the western region of Khan Younis. On the same day, Israel announced it was conducting an operation in the Khan Younis area. Khan Younis is in the southern part of Gaza City, where the Israeli army had retreated in April.

Many countries have indirectly become involved in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Iran-backed fighters have also started attacking Israel. After the assassination of Hamas’s top political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, there is a possibility that Iran might attack Israel.
