Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani will now be the richest men in Asia!

Mumbai: Billionaire Gautam Adani, who has added $55.3 billion to his fortune this year, is neck-and-neck with Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani to become Asia’s richest.

Ambani can add $ 13 billion to his wealth so far this year.

According to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, Mukesh Ambani has a net worth of $89.7 billion, ranked as Asia’s richest, while Gautam Adani, with a net worth of $89.1 billion, trailed Ambani by $600 million. .

On Thursday, the share price of listed companies in Reliance Industries and Adani Group may decide who will be the richest person in Asia.

Shares of Reliance continued to fall on Wednesday, with Saudi Aramco falling into a $15 billion deal to buy a 20 per cent stake in Reliance’s oil-to-chemicals (O2C) business. Reliance shares, however, rose 1.31 per cent on Thursday after the company announced restructuring and buyback of its gasification assets.

Reliance’s market capitalization was pegged at Rs 15.01 trillion on Wednesday, which is still India’s most valuable company.

On the other hand, Adani Group companies also opened in the green.

Adani Enterprises was trading up 0.33 per cent in early trade on Thursday morning, while Adani Transmission was trading up 1.33 per cent.
The total market capitalization of the listed Adani Group firms is pegged at over Rs 10 trillion as compared to the market capitalization of Reliance Industries at Rs 15.01 trillion.

However, if Adani group companies outperform Reliance Industries on Thursday, their high promoter stake in Gautam Adani’s listed group companies could make them richer than Mukesh Ambani.
