Gary Lineker was in a studio in Molineux with pundits Paul Ince and Danny Murphy when crying was heard in the background.

Gary Lineker said the BBC’s television coverage of the FA Cup clash between Wolves and Liverpool was sabotaged after loud obscene noises were heard during the build-up to Tuesday’s match.

BBC presenter Lineker was discussing third round replays with pundits Paul Ince and Danny Murphy in a studio in Molineux when an audible scream broke out in the background.

Former Tottenham star Lineker was clearly shocked and struggling not to laugh as he added: “Would you stop making those noises, Danny.”

When an interview with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp following the sexual allegation was aired, Lineker heckled colleague and former England striker Alan Shearer in the commentary gantry.

“I think someone’s sending something to someone’s phone. I don’t know if you heard it at home,” Lineker said.

Once the match started, Lineker explained the reason, tweeting a picture of a mobile phone and three laughing emojis with the words: “Well, we found it taped to the back of the set. That’s pretty much it because of the sabotage.” Was amusing.”

During the half-time analysis, Lineker took the opportunity to shed further light on the bizarre incident.

Speaking to Ince and Murphy, he said of Liverpool’s opening goal: “Harvey Elliott’s goal was scary … that wasn’t the only goal we had tonight.”

The stunt went unnoticed by onlookers as the incident was widely shared on social media.

A BBC spokesperson said on Twitter: “We apologize to any viewers who were offended during our live coverage of football this evening. We are investigating how this happened.”
