The raiding team caught the three men and asked them to reveal their identities, who revealed their details – Saddam Hussein Raja Ansari, Sonu Choudhary, Afsar Ansari.

Two officers of Drug Control Department, GNCTD also joined the raiding team. On examination of the above two cartons and red colored cloth bags, a total of 141 medicine boxes containing spurious drugs to cure cancer (manufactured by a Bangladeshi pharma company); Empty Outer Box of the above medicines, Scooty (DL-3SEW-2673); And four mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the above persons.

On-demand all the above three persons have failed to produce any drugs license required for drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules 1945 made thereunder and any purchase invoice/bill for the above drugs which they were being carried and were in their possession, as if suspected to be of questionable quality.

Accordingly, a case under section 420/274/275/34/120B IPC under section 18/27 of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 has been registered and all the above three accused have been arrested.

Another accused Amit Dua (28 years) has been arrested at the behest and disclosure of the three accused.

Further three arrested accused disclosed during interrogation that they used to manufacture these spurious/counterfeit medicines in connivance and collusion with Amit Dua in Karnal, Haryana.

At the instance of accused Amit Dua, the machines used for spurious/counterfeit medicines have been recovered and confiscated.

The demand for these medicines made in Bangladesh is high as compared to the cheapness of medicines made in India.

The accused persons took advantage of the opportunity and started manufacturing spurious/fake/fake life saving cancer drugs allegedly manufactured in Bangladesh. After manufacturing, these counterfeit/spurious drugs are sold by the accused persons in the gray market at handsome rates and huge profits are made. The accused persons have set up a network of persons who supply the injections on demand.

A handful of people are involved in this heinous racket who manufacture and supply fake life saving cancer drugs and play with the valuable lives of innocent persons. It has pan-India involvement in the present gang.

  • Saddam Hussein Raja Ansari (29 Years) – He is the mastermind of M-Pharma and racket from Bangalore (Karnataka).
  • Sonu Choudhary (26 Years) – He is a Bachelor of Arts from Bihar. He manages the accounts of gang and liaison work. The raw material and salt used for manufacturing these spurious/counterfeit drugs are being managed by them.
  • Afsar Ansari (21 Years) – He is Higher Secondary and used to supply these fake/fake life saving cancer medicines to different types of buyers in India.
  • Amit Dua (28 Years) – A law graduate, provided for manufacturing these fake/fake life saving cancer drugs. Lawyer by profession works in taxation matters.

Meanwhile, the detection of other manufacturing units/plants, confiscation of machines, and confiscation of raw materials used for manufacturing these counterfeit drugs as well as sources of raw materials, printers, dealers/distributors, doctors, hospitals, etc. Raids are being conducted to find out their entire network including. , etc. – included in the present case.
