Fuel shortages remain in London and South East England

Gasoline and diesel shortages persisted in London and south east England, with 22% of no fuel available in the forecourt and 60% of both types available on Sunday, according to Sky News, the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA).

Elsewhere in the UK, including Scotland, northern and central England, the crisis “virtually ended”, the PRA said, with a 6% courtship drought.

PRA President Brian Maderson was quoted as saying: “Fuel is still not going to the pumps that need it most in London and the South East.”

Britain will deploy military tanker drivers to deliver fuel to gas stations from Monday, seeking to stabilize fuel supplies after a chaotic week that saw panic, fighting at pumps and drivers hoarding petrol in water bottles have been seen.
