Fuel prices hit another high on Monday as rates were hiked for the seventh day in a row. Petrol and diesel prices across the country were increased for the seventh consecutive day on Monday.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol crossed the ₹104-mark as they increased by 30 paise to ₹104.44 per liter from ₹104.14 per liter, while the rates of diesel were hiked by 35 paise, while that of diesel. The prices were increased from ₹92.82 to ₹93.17.

In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹ 110.41 per litre, an increase of 29 paise, while diesel costs ₹ 100.29 per litre, an increase of 37 paise.

The price of petrol in Bangalore is Rs 108.08 per liter and that of diesel is Rs 98.89 per liter. On Monday, the price of petrol in Chennai was Rs 101.79 per liter and the price of diesel was Rs 97.59 per liter.

Petrol and diesel prices in metro cities today:

Prices vary from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes. On 28 September for petrol and 24 for diesel, a three-week relief in rates was broken by rising oil prices across the globe.

Before the July/August price cut, petrol price was increased by Rs 11.44 per liter between May 4 and July 17. The rate of diesel was increased by Rs 9.14 during this period.
