Four More Towns to Getting Roads, Says Minister. Patna News – Times of India

Patna: State Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin On Thursday in the assembly said that apart from four cities Patna Ring roads and eight bypass roads will be constructed in the next five years to reduce the traffic load in different cities.
Apart from Patna, the cities which will have ring roads are Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gaya and Bhagalpur.
“The concerned DM has been asked to submit a detailed report on the land to be acquired for the construction of ring road and eight bypass roads,” prophet That said, adding the required funds would be shared by the central and state governments.
The minister said this as part of the government’s reply to the House debate on the budgetary demand of his department for the 2022-23 financial year.
The cut motion was moved by RJD member Lalit Kumar Yadav. When the opposition members staged a walkout from the house, the budgetary demand was passed by voice vote.
The minister said Rs 143 crore would be spent on eight bypass roads to be built under the government’s Saat Nishchay (seven resolutions) programme, which has already been approved. Bypass roads will be built from Kurtha in Arwal district, Kateya in Gopalganj, Ramashish Chowk in Vaishali district to Dighi. Sherghati Bazar In Gaya, from Araut to Nalanda at Kornama, via NH-30 Vigrahpur to Karbigahiya agriculture institute campus in Patna, from NH-81 to NH-31 in Katihar and from Jariso Chowk to Bishunpur-Benipur via Brmajha Pokhar in Darbhanga.
Nabin said that 1,683 km of roads have already been constructed through a loan taken from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In addition, a loan of Rs 2,727.43 crore has been obtained from ADB for the construction of about 286 km of state highways.
