Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s condition stable and healthy, informed AIIMS officer

Dr Manmohan Singh Health Update: An AIIMS official said on Friday that the condition of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is stable and his health is improving.

Dr. Manmohan Singh is admitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. He was admitted on Wednesday after his health deteriorated.

Congress spokesperson Pranav Jha also said that Dr Manmohan Singh is doing well and is better than yesterday.

Pranav Jha on Twitter urged everyone to respect the privacy of the former prime minister.

“This is to inform that Dr. Manmohan Singh ji is doing fine. He is better than yesterday. Let us all wish him a speedy recovery. Any baseless speculations are unnecessary and in bad taste. Also, former PM from all. Please respect my privacy. Thank you. You!” Congress spokesperson tweeted.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reached AIIMS on Thursday morning and took the condition of Dr. Manmohan Singh. The Union Health Minister stayed with him for some time and sought information about his health condition.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also reached AIIMS to meet him on Thursday.

Manmohan Singh is being treated by a team of cardiologists led by Dr Nitish Naik. He had complained of fever two days back and was feeling weak before being taken to AIIMS. AIIMS sources said that he was also complaining of neck pain. The former PM tested COVID-19 positive during the second wave in April this year and was admitted to the hospital.

In 2009, Manmohan Singh underwent coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS, Delhi, after which he goes to the hospital for a general check-up as per the doctor’s advice. He was also infected with Kovid-19 in April this year and was then admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Center.

Dr Manmohan Singh has served as the Prime Minister for two consecutive terms during the rule of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Center from 2004 to 2014.
