Former IAS officer BVR Subrahmanyam was appointed as the CEO of NITI Aayog on Monday.
Former IAS officer BVR Subrahmanyam was on Monday appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog, replacing Parameswaran Iyer, who has been designated as the executive director of the company. World Edge.
An order by the Personnel Ministry said that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Subrahmanyam for a period of two years from the date of his assumption of charge.
Iyer, who is serving as the CEO of NITI Aayog, has been appointed as the Executive Director of the World Bank Headquarters, Washington DC, USA for a term of three years.
The order said that Iyer will replace Rajesh Khullar, a 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, who has been sent back to his cadre state Haryana.
