Florida Man Refuses To Share His Phone Password With Girlfriend, Jumps Into The Ocean – News18

Relationships are built on the pillars of respect and trust. Still, there is a lot of debate around password sharing. Although there’s nothing inherently wrong with it, some contend that it adds unwanted drama. If the necessity ever comes to exchange passwords, though, there shouldn’t be any hesitation as long as you’re not violating the trust. A similar incident occurred in Florida, US, when the individual genuinely thought that swimming in shark-infested waters would be more enjoyable than disclosing his phone passcode. We suppose it’s quite obvious that he’s concealing more than simply a terrible meme collection.

In an April bodycam video that was uploaded to YouTube three weeks ago, two female Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) officials are shown interviewing a man, named AJ, and his girlfriend aboard a boat somewhere in the seas around Key West. The video shows AJ getting more and more furious before diving into the water. He fights with the cops and his girlfriend concerning the phone to confirm his identity.

Letting his intrusive thoughts win, he asked the cops what would happen if he just “swam away.” He then led the police on a seven-minute chase towards the shore before being taken into custody. AJ and his girlfriend were aboard a boat with minor code violations when the two cops informed them that they were exploring the area for another vessel under their supervision.

The police quickly learn that AJ is piloting a boat that is breaching several codes, and that neither he nor his girlfriend possess documentation with them. AJ gradually loses patience with the police, telling them he did nothing wrong. He asks them if they are just there to apprehend those who breach the law when they are out on the sea.

One of the police retorts, “Obviously, we’re addressing violations because we’re cops and that’s what we do.” The police question AJ about if he “has a warrant” as he grows increasingly irate with them. One of the cops again says, “Usually, when people start acting like that, it is because they’ve got a warrant,” while his girlfriend tries to calm him down. “You need to relax… you’re freaking out,” his girlfriend can be heard saying.

AJ then asks the police what would happen if he “jumps in the water and swims away.” “I’m going to follow you,” one official responds. The cops are then shown in the video examining a computer screen that is blurry, indicating that AJ had an outstanding warrant. AJ tells the police he will “swim home”. The girlfriend threatens to leave if he does so. Subsequently, she requests that her boyfriend unlock his phone in order to obtain his boss’ number.

While AJ is having an argument with the cops, she demands, “What is your password for your phone?” AJ then makes his way to the boat’s back corner and tells the police that he won’t be going to “jail today.” Then, his girlfriend puts his phone in front of him and pleads with him to open it so she may assist him this time. But AJ dives into the sea.

The cops attempt to pull him back into the boat to arrest him, but AJ swears he’s “not resisting,” while simultaneously his girlfriend demanding his phone’s passcode. The boater fights with the police for a minute before swimming away. “We are done after this, I’m telling you,’ the girlfriend yells at him.

The two FWC officials swim with AJ for the next seven minutes as he makes his way back to the shore. Before reaching shore, the cops jump from their boats and handcuff him. And just before the end of the video, they bring him to the coastline, where another police official waits for him. The accusations that AJ was facing following the peculiar experience are unknown.
