Flash actor Ezra Miller arrested in Hawaii on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment at a bar, later released

Actor Ezra Miller was arrested late Sunday after an incident at a bar in the Hawaiian city of Hilo on charges of “disorderly conduct and harassment”, local police said. The actor, who starred in Warner Bros.’ upcoming films ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ and ‘The Flash’, was later released after posting US$500 bail for both crimes.

In a statement posted to Facebook Monday night by the Hawaii Police Department, Miller “getted excited while patrons at the bar began to sing karaoke”.

According to police, the 29-year-old allegedly “started vulgar shouting and at one point grabbed a microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke … and later pounced on a 32-year-old playing darts.”

Subsequently, Miller was arrested and charged with “disorderly conduct and harassment”. Police said he was released after furnishing a $500 bond.

The actor first appeared in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” as Barry Allen / The Flash. He has since starred as a DC superhero in films such as “Suicide Squad” and “Justice League”.

Miller will headline his first solo outing as ‘Fastest Man Alive’ in “The Flash”, to be released in 2023. Ezra Miller plays the role of ‘Scarlet Speedster’ in the film. The Flash is the superhero persona of Barry Allen, a Central City police forensic investigator and Justice League member, who can move at superhuman speeds. Barry’s timeline-hopping abilities, according to Variety.com, allow him to move from his cinematic universe – including Batman played by Ben Affleck, who first appeared in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016) as Miller appeared with. An alternate universe where Batman is played by Michael Keaton, reprising the role that originated in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns.

This year, the actor will reprise his role of magician Credence Barebone in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” which is set to hit cinema halls on April 15, 2022.
