The court of District Judge Rajiv Bharti said in the case of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Mandir vs Shahi Idgah Masjid that now the matter will be heard in the lower court. The first hearing of the case will be held on May 26.

In the petition filed by 6 people including Advocate Ranjana, it was demanded that Shri Krishna Virajman has 13.37 acres of land. Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple is built on about 11 acres of this land, while the Shahi Idgah Masjid is on 2.37 acres of land. 2.37 acres of land should be freed and included in the birthplace of Shri Krishna.

Suit filed as a friend of Lord Krishna
Advocate Ranjana Agnihotri filed a case in the civil court in September, 2020 as a friend of Lord Krishna. The case was dismissed by the Civil Court. After this, in October this case was filed in the district judge’s court for revision. The hearing on this is going on for about one and a half years.

In 1946, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust was formed by Jugal Kishore Birla to maintain the land. Jugal Kishore died in the year 1967. After this, in 1968, the trust made an agreement with the Muslim side. Under this, the entire management of the Shahi Idgah Masjid was handed over to the Muslims. In the petition filed on behalf of Ranjana Agnihotri, Vishnu Shankar Jain etc., this agreement has been termed as illegal. It has been argued that the trust had no right to compromise.

The debate on revision lasted for one and a half years, this petition was debated on different dates from October 2020 to May 5, 2022 as revision. After the completion of the debate on May 5, the court had given the date of May 19 to accept it or not.
