First day of ‘Vikram’ felt like a high school reunion: Kamal Haasan

South superstar Kamal Haasan has started shooting for his latest film “Vikram”, and said the first day on the sets of the film felt like a “high school reunion”.

Haasan’s film produced by Raj Kamal Films International was announced on his birthday on November 7 last year.

Touted to be a high-octane action drama, the Tamil language film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The 66-year-old actor will be sharing screen space with two of the biggest names of South cinema – Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Haasan shared a video of the film’s first day celebrations in Chennai on Friday.

In the 49-second clip, Haasan, Sethupathi, Kanagaraj and the crew of “Vikram” are seen performing puja and setting up the camera at the office of Raj Kamal Films International.

“Vikram’s first day. Felt like a high school reunion. In the last 50 years this is the longest time I have been away from shooting for a film. Many filmmakers haven’t seen action for almost a year,” Haasan said. tweeted.

“I welcome all my colleagues from all walks of life to work in RKFI. Especially Mr Lokesh and his enthusiastic team and my talented brothers, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Faasil,” he said.

Responding to the veteran actor’s post, Kanagaraj said that the most memorable moment of his life had to say to Haasan?? Action ‘.

Last week, Haasan and Kanagaraj shared the official poster of the film on social media.

The poster features Haasan, Sethupathi and Faasil in monochrome close-up shots.

“Vikram” is expected to release in 2022. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music score for the film while Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer.
