A shocking case has come to a senior advocate and counselor from Bhopal. This story is about a couple. Both fell in love in college time. Then ran away and got married. On this the husband also agreed.
The wife dressed him like a girl and started taking him to the market. After a year-long treatment, when the husband became a complete girl, this change became the reason for the rift between the two. The matter has come down to divorce. Now the wife is seeking divorce on the basis of changing the gender of the husband. She tells her husband – you cannot give me child and marital happiness, they are of no use to me….
Bhopal’s counselor Sarita Rajani has been counseling the couple for 8 months. The parents of the young man approached them and asked them to save the son’s family from breaking up. Counselor Sarita told that the lives of two families are on the verge of ruin because of a move taken in jest.
Getting a gender change done without any hormonal symptoms has given a happy family the pain of a lifetime. Now even after persuasion, the wife is not ready to accept nor does she want to live with her husband. While the husband wants to be with her.
Good job, happy family, then one decision changed life
Sahil (name changed) and Mansi (name changed) fell in love with each other during college time. After graduation, both of them got married in Arya Samaj temple without informing the family. After doing professional course, both started working in Delhi. Well settled. Later the families of both also agreed.
There was a girl in Sahil’s office with whom he had a good friendship. After a long time he came to know that his friend girl was the first boy. He has changed the gender. Sahil also introduced his wife Mansi to the girl who changed the gender and told that seeing this, no one can say that it must have been a boy. Gradually, the girl’s visit to Sahil-Mansi’s house and friendship deepened. He also started talking often between the two husband and wife.
Sahil always took great care of Mansi, used to call her and ask her when she got late in coming home. Mansi said to Sahil one day, you take care of me like a woman, you keep asking a lot of questions, you should also get your gender changed. The wife said to Sahil that you also do this and see, what is the feeling, how does it feel.
Both got ready for this joke said and went to the doctor who changed the gender. The wife herself went to the doctor with her husband. Without any counseling or guide, the doctor started the process of changing Sahil’s gender.
The wife herself would prepare it and wear her clothes and walk it in the market.
The process of changing gender continued for a year. Sahil’s age must have been around 25 years and Mansi’s between 23-24 when the treatment started. In the initial process, medicines related to hormonal changes were given by the doctor for a few months. The therapy lasted for a few months and finally the surgical procedure was done.
After taking hormonal medicines, Sahil started feeling changes in his body. Husband and wife started enjoying the process of gender change. Mansi started dressing her husband in her clothes and herself dressed him like a woman. She would take him to the market with her and tell the other that she is my friend. No one can even recognize that it is Sahil.
It went on like this for a few months. After two years of gender change process, Sahil became a complete girl. In the beginning, both were also happy about it, but they could not understand what they had done or what would be the result of it in the future.
Wife broke the relationship and made it the basis of divorce
When the family members of both told them to come home and meet, Sahil-Mansi started avoiding it by making some excuse or the other. A year and a half passed like this. At the behest of Sahil’s parents, both of them came to meet him. The parents were stunned to see Sahil as a girl. He blamed Mansi for this. Angered by this, Mansi went to her maternal home.
Here Sahil kept on persuading Mansi to get back and live with her, but now Mansi changed her mind and she started breaking up with him completely. Doing this has been more than 4 years. Now Mansi does not want to live with her husband Sahil, who has become a girl by changing gender. Now she says that she wants a child, marital happiness, but she cannot give Sahil, he is of no use to me.
Joking move ruined married life
Counselor Sarita Rajani informs that Mansi now wants a divorce, while Sahil loves her very much. He wants to be with her. He doesn’t want to go to the police-court. Mansi is not changing her mind even after explaining. She is not ready to leave the family and live with Sahil in another city.
Many cases of gender change are coming to the fore, not only from Madhya Pradesh but people from other states are also contacting me about this and want to save the family. Despite not having hormonal symptoms like women, some men are taking such steps just jokingly, without thinking or counseling, which is ruining their life.
Central government should make strict laws
Like surrogacy, the central government should make a law regarding this that no one can go to the doctor and do this surgery without any counseling or without informing his close or parents. Doctors should also avoid doing this without any consultation or counseling due to their earnings. Otherwise, it will become a big problem in the coming time and many families will have to bear the pain.
