Kulgam: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Hadigam area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
A joint team of police, army and CRPF launched a search operation in the Hadigam area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists, an official said.
He said as the joint team of forces intensified the search at the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire on the party, triggering an encounter in retaliation.
He said that firing was going on in the area and two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped- (KNO)
