Italian news agencies reported on Friday that six people were killed and more than 80 were injured in a fire at a retirement home in Milan.
The fire started at about 1120 GMT on Thursday, the ANSA news agency said, adding that firefighters were at the scene.
Another news agency AGI, citing regional emergency services, said 81 people had been hospitalised, two of them in serious condition.
