Noida: A fire broke out in a multi-storey residential-cum-commercial building in Noida on the night of Friday (May 27, 2022), officials said. No one was injured in the fire that broke out around 10 pm in the congested Bhangel area following which firefighters and local police were immediately deployed on the spot, he said.
Officials said the fire is suspected to have started from an ATM kiosk on the ground floor, which has a few flats in the upper part and shops in the lower part, before spreading to the other floors of the four-storey building.
“Fire service officials rushed to the spot with water tenders. The fire was brought under control in half an hour. A major part of the building was saved from destruction as the fire was on the exterior of the building.” The fire officer said.

No one was hurt in the incident and firefighters prevented it from spreading to nearby buildings, the official said.
According to official figures, there have been over 600 fire incidents in Gautam Buddh Nagar till the end of April this year, with the fire department conducting over 100 awareness campaigns in Noida and Greater Noida.
