FIR registered against Belamkonda Suresh and his son Sai Srinivas in Rs 85 lakh fraud case – Times of India

Hyderabad Police have booked fraud case against telugu filmmaker Bellamkonda Suresh and his sons and actors Belmakonda Sai Srinivas for allegedly defrauding a financier to the tune of 85 lakh rupees, The Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Friday registered a case against the two on the directions of a city court.

VL Shravan Kumar had complained in the court that the producer and his son had taken money from him in installments to make a film during 2018. The petitioner claimed that the producer had promised to take him as an assistant producer for a film to be directed by Gopichand Malineni.

The financier informed the court that believing him, he paid them the amount but they cheated him. The court had directed the police to register a case against Suresh and Srinivas. The CCS police registered a case under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 417, 420 (cheating), and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.


As part of the investigation, the police asked the complainant to appear before the investigating officer along with relevant documents and record his statement.
