Finland has been voted the happiest country in the world for the fifth year in a row in the United Nations’ Annual Happiness Index. Whereas Afghanistan, which is battling the Taliban rule, is the most unhappy country.

Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands are among the happiest countries in the top 5. While America is 16th and Britain is 17th. India is number 136 in this list. Last time India’s number was 139th, that is, India’s ranking has improved by three places. On the other hand, neighboring Pakistan is in a better position than India with 121st rank.

In this list released on Friday, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania have the highest increase in living a better life. The biggest fall in the World Happiness Table came in the ranks of Lebanon, Venezuela and Afghanistan.
