Filmmaker Michael Raippan files police complaint against actor Simbu for cheating

“Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asradhavan” producer Michael Raippan on Monday met the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Chennai and filed a cheating complaint against actor Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendra, popularly known as Shimbu. Michael has also mentioned the names of Simbu’s father in his complaint. and mother.

According to reports, filmmaker Michael Raippan met the Chennai ACP at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office and explained to him how Simbu and his family had allegedly cheated him and due to which he lost crores.

Michael claims that Simbu worked for only 27 days despite signing an agreement to work for 60 days for the film “Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan”.

According to Michael Raippan, he had produced and released the film Ambanavan Adangadhavan Asradhavan, but he suffered a loss of over Rs 15 crore due to Simbu. The filmmaker claimed that Simbu left the film when it was about 50 percent during production.

In the complaint, Raippan mentioned that Simbu had said that he would not act in the film.

The filmmaker had filed a complaint against Simbu at Nadigar Sangam in 2017. In his complaint at the time, Michael Raippan accused Simbu of non-compliance with the agreement to build Ambanavan Adangadhavan Asradhavan. The film was directed by Adik Ravichandran. The film was a huge flop at the box office.

In his complaint to Nadigar Sangam, Michael had asked Simbu to pay Rs 20 crore to compensate for the loss. As per reports, Simbu did not respond to Raiappan or pay the stipulated amount.

In 2018 the producer of the film Ambanavan Adangadhavan Asradhavan again approached Nadigar Sangam requesting him to act on his complaint and to stop Simbu from acting in other films until he could settle the damages.

Despite a request made by Michael Raippan along with Nadigar Sangam, Simbu went ahead and completed the shooting of Mani Ratnam-produced film Cheeka Chivanta.
