Fetus Found in South Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar

Police said the crime team inspected the spot and the fetus was sent to AIIMS hospital for further medical examination.

Police said investigations are on after a human fetus was found in a sewer in south Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar area on Tuesday.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary, at around 10.35 am, the Police Control Room (PCR) received a call regarding a fetus at Ambedkar Nagar police station.

The DCP said, “The caller said that he works as a supervisor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and today he along with his staff was cleaning the sewer when a dead male fetus (more than 20 weeks ) found.”

“The spot, Khatta Sanjay Camp Tea Point, was inspected by the crime team and the fetus was sent to AIIMS Hospital for further medical examination. A case under appropriate sections is being registered, the officer said.

Police said that further investigation is being done.
