Fawad Khan opens up about his bond with Bollywood stars, especially with Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor.

Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan confirmed he is still in touch with several Bollywood stars, especially Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar. The actor’s confession comes as a heartwarming surprise to fans, especially for those who loved him in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Fawad confessed that, despite the dysfunctional relationship between Pakistan and India which led to the bad of Pakistani artists in India, there is ‘no love lost’ between him and the Bollywood stars he’s worked with.

“I’m in touch on and off. Hamari baat ho jaati hai kabhi chat pe and on phone so I’ve been in touch and I have enjoyed a very good relationship with the Kapoor family and there is still a lot of love and respect even with Karan and Shakun so dostiyaan hai and then there’s some producers friends jiske saath gaap shap lagi rehti hai aur then we make plans of meeting somewhere so on and off we talk, we keep in touch and we’re still very cordial and still very friendly and there’s no love lost,” Fawad told Pinkvilla.

When asked if he has watched Animal, Fawad admitted he is yet to watch the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. “Maine nahi dekhi hai abhi, aur mai dekhna chahta hu, netflix pe aagai hai lekin muje dekhne ka mauka nai mila, and everyone has been recommending (I haven’t seen it yet, but I want to. It’s on Netflix now, but I haven’t had the chance to watch it. Everyone has been recommending it),” he said.

Fawad made his Bollywood debut with Sonam Kapoor in the remake of Khoobsurat. Their chemistry and Fawad’s screen presence won audiences over. Fawad cemented his position in Bollywood by starring in Kapoor & Sons. He shared the screen with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. He was then seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. His Bollywood journey came to abrupt halt after India decided to ban Pakistani artists in the country after the Uri terror attack in 2016.

The actor is returning to grace the Indian screens with Barzakh. He reunites with Zindagi Gulzar Hai star Sanam Saeed in the show. Barzakh is set to release this week.
