Faucets, water cooler, doorways go lacking at new PU ladies’ hostel

Panjab College (PU) authorities have lodged a police grievance after a whole lot of water faucets, one water cooler, 22 doorways and home windows and a few heavy electrical wires, estimated to be value lakhs, have been allegedly stolen from the college’s Ladies Hostel Quantity 11 in Sector 25, Chandigarh.

Sources stated the thieves allegedly entered the hostel constructing after smashing open the panes on doorways and home windows. As per officers of the varsity, hostel quantity 11 is newly constructed and was solely just lately handed over to the college by the contractor.

A PU official stated, “The theft got here to mild two days in the past when workers of the civil engineering wing of the college went contained in the constructing to examine the infrastructure.
