According to the Hindu calendar, the holy month of Magha is starting today from 7th January. This month is considered very auspicious, as one can observe various vrats (fasts) and festivals. Transit of many planets will also be seen this month.
During this Gupt Navratri will be celebrated and Saturn’s zodiac sign is also changing from January 17. There is also a coincidence of Ravi Pushya Nakshatra on 8th January and 5th February. It is considered auspicious to worship Lord Surya along with Mother Goddess in this month. Ganga and Lord Vishnu.
