Farm law repealed, cryptocurrency among 26 bills listed for winter session

The government has listed ‘The Farm Law Repeal Bill, 2021’ in the legislative business to be taken up in the Lok Sabha during the winter session of Parliament beginning November 29.

In all, 26 bills have been listed for the winter session, including one on cryptocurrency.

The government on Tuesday listed a new bill for the upcoming session that seeks to ban all private cryptocurrencies in the country while allowing the issuance of official digital currency by the Reserve Bank of India.

These include a bill to repeal three agricultural laws, the proposal of which is to be discussed in the Union Cabinet on Wednesday.

The winter session of Parliament will end on 23 December.
