The mystery of Dumbledore, the third film in the Fantastic Beasts series, is certainly not as intriguing or engaging as the first part. While the journey to Hogwarts is certainly not as exciting as the Harry Potter series, there are some aspects to the film that will definitely challenge the Harry Potter fan in you.
Talking about the script, the film is definitely not as bad as the second installment. This time JK Rowling and Steve Kloves have tried to give something different. However, just as the climax of the second installment was, this time too, there is a lot of confusion and even director David Yates could not save the plot entirely.
The film stars actor Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald. The actor impressed as the main antagonist and stepped into the shoes of Johnny Depp, who had essayed the character of Grindelwald in earlier parts. Needless to say, Jude Law, who portrays the character of Albus Dumbledore, is also impressive as he tries to stop Grindlewald from starting the Wizard-Muggle War.
Speaking of Eddie Redmayne, best known for his role as Newt Scamander, he’s just the shy hero who has to save the world. You, at some point, want Redmayne to act and be a little more aggressive. The rest of the cast, including Dan Fogler, Callum Turner, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol, Jessica Williams and Richard Coyle, have done well.
The climax is again a little too predictable, and leaves you right where it begins! The chase continues and is a good movie that reminds you of all the Harry Potter movies at once. In short, though it is not as good as the first installment, it certainly serves as a savior from the disastrous second instalment.
