Family Man 2 creator Krishna DK had recently said in an interview that the Lonavala angle is getting excessive attention in the show.
The much-awaited second season of Family Man was released on Amazon Prime on June 4, 2021. Fans were furious over the second season as it ended several cliffhangers from the first season. However, one mystery remained unsolved and left fans puzzled and curious – the “what happened in Lonavala” mystery. The show’s co-producer, Krishna DK recently opened up about the mystery in a web show hosted by comedian Saurabh Pant. When asked “what happened in Lonavala,” Krishna DK said that the Lonavala mystery should not be given much attention and is a matter of great concern even from the Lonavala angle.
Answering the question, Krishna said, “Delhi was very close to being destroyed, the lives of Zoya and Milind were in danger and amidst all the uproar, people want to know what happened in Lonavala.” He further added, “Me and the other directors including the writers feel that this question has been given more attention than it should have been. Suchitra is a strong character who is driven by her own motivations and compulsions. She makes her own decisions. She should not be seen on screen only as Srikkanth’s wife.
Priya Vasudev Mani, better known as Priyamani, who played Suchitra, has received a lot of hatred for Suchitra’s antics in the show. Most fans believe that the fictional character’s husband Srikkanth, played by Manoj Bajpayee, was mistreated, which is why his character is hated. Priyamani had said in an interview that she got a lot of hate after season 2 as compared to the first season.
