Fake Tweet On Mass Exodus Of Muslims In Ahmedabad Creates Panic, Here’s What Really Happened ground report

A fake tweet on mass migration sparked panic in Ahmedabad’s Pirana village, where a user claimed that Muslims were migrating because of ‘Hindu terrorists’. Following the tweet that grabbed social media attention, India TV’s ground report revealed that the claims were false.

Piranha village, located 20 km from Ahmedabad, has been a hotbed of tension for some time now. This tension was the result of the construction of a wall in the premises of Imamshah Bawa Sanstha Trust. The trust is the custodian of a dargah of Pir Imamshah Bawa, a mosque, tomb of the Pir and a graveyard. The Muslim community has been opposing the construction of a concrete wall for two years at the site of the 13-year-old fencing.

The Muslim community had earlier marched to the collector’s office to submit an application against the construction. Nasir Shaikh, who was present at the spot, captured these scenes and posted it on Twitter along with the story of the mass exodus. He was arrested by the police and he posted a video of the apology.
