Facebook dating app gets new features – Times of India

New Delhi: Social networking giant Facebook In April this year, it introduced its online dating app. The app is developed by Facebook’s internal NPE team. For those unaware, NPE apps are meant to be new product usage, which means they are subject to change.

The latest updates bring support for audio dates to the app. This feature will enable users to start an audio conversation with anyone they match. When a user tries to start a call with someone, the other person will receive an invitation. Once the invitation is accepted, users on both sides can start a conversation.
In addition, Facebook is also allowing users to set up two additional locations in Facebook Dating where they want to see matches. Match Anywhere aims to make it easier for users to match with people who are temporarily living or working in a different location.
Apart from these two features, Facebook is also introducing a feature called Lucky Pick. According to Facebook, the new feature “allows users to consider other compatible candidates who may be outside of their specific preferences.”
Meanwhile, Facebook updated its data transfer tool – Transfer Your Information (TYI). The new updates rolled out include improved user experience, two new destinations: Photobucket and Google Calendar, and a new data type: Facebook Events. After this update, Facebook users will not be able to transfer their photos to Photobucket and Facebook events to Google Calendar.
