Jalandhar: Punjab Police’s action on Friday, busted a terrorist module of International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) with the arrest of former Akal Takht Jathedar. The accused include Jaswinder Singh, Amolak Singh, brother of Jasbir and both relatives of ISYF chief Lakhbir Singh Rode and UK national Paramjit Singh Dhadi.

He had even claimed that the RDX was actually recovered from Jasbir’s car, a claim refuted by the former Jathedar. Ravi Inder ridiculed Badal’s allegations saying that if SAD 1920 had been aligned with the ruling party, his men would not have been implicated.
The trial went on during Badal’s rule and all three were convicted in November 2008 and sentenced to five years in prison by a Jalandhar court. However, none of the allegations leveled by Badal against his political opponents were confirmed in the court by the police.
