Explosion in OnePlus Nord 2 while user was on call, causes serious injuries: Report

New Delhi: There have been incidents of fire and burning of users in OnePlus Nord 2 devices in the past, and in another such incident, OnePlus Nord 2 exploded while the user was on call, media have reported. According to a report published in Gizmo China, one Lakshya Verma, according to one Lakshya Verma, exploded in the OnePlus Nord 2 while his brother was on a call, causing injuries to his brother’s palm and face.

The incident surfaced on the internet after Verma tweeted that his brother’s OnePlus Nord 2 had exploded in his hands during a call. Verma had said in the tweet that he had gone to the OnePlus Service Center in Connaught Place for a solution, but to no avail. Actually, Verma was asked to wait for 2-3 days and was told that the service center could not do anything. Verma had tweeted from his Twitter account @lakshayvrm, but later deleted the tweet with pictures of the burnt OnePlus Nord 2.

ABP Live has reached out to OnePlus for a comment. The story will be updated once a response is received.

The photos that Verma tweeted showed damage to the smartphone and also showed that the Nord 2 was burnt out beyond repair. However, it is not known why Verma deleted the burnt tweets and pictures of the OnePlus Nord 2.

It should be noted that this is not the first instance of a OnePlus Nord 2 device going up in flames. Earlier in January, another model of OnePlus Nord series exploded in the country. The OnePlus Nord CE device owned by Dushyant Goswami had reportedly exploded and he shared pictures of the detonated device on Twitter and also posted about the incident on LinkedIn. However, in his case OnePlus allegedly promised to send him a new device.
