Thiruvananthapuram: The expert committee that was appointed to review the outdated laws in the industrial sector to improve the industrial atmosphere in the state submitted its report on Thursday.
industries minister P Rajeevewho received the report, said that the recommendations by the panel would be implemented in a time-bound manner.
In addition to repealing the outdated laws, the committee has also recommended simplification of procedures and rectifying penal provisions.
Other recommendations include unification of existing laws, a fresh right to service law to replace the existing one, to examine 38 state laws relating to the industrial sector and simplify the criminal procedures stated in those laws, amendment of 13 sections of 12 acts and 23 parts of 13 rules. tnn
