These post-election surveys will provide early predictions for this year’s general election outcomes before the official results, which will be announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday, June 4

The exit poll numbers for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have started coming in following the conclusion of the final phase on Saturday.

These surveys will provide early predictions for this year’s general election outcomes before the official results, which will be announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday, June 4.

Several political leaders reacted to the pollsters’ predictions for this year’s general elections. Many BJP leaders welcomed the survey results, while Congress dismissed them as inaccurate.

NDA Leaders Take On The Survey

Reacting to the survey results, BJP leader Tejasvi Surya stated that nearly all exit polls are predicting a massive victory for the Narendra Modi-led BJP and the NDA.

“This is in line with the ‘abki baar 400 paar’ vision of the PM. The last 10 years have been truly transformative for the country. Under the PM’s leadership, the country has become more prosperous, we have lifted 25 crore people out of poverty and the country is more secure,” Tejasvi Surya told the media.

Former Madhya Pradesh CM and senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said the NDA will cross the 400-seat mark.

“The BJP, along with the NDA, will cross the 400-seat mark. The BJP alone will win 370 seats. The trust for PM Modi in the nation is unparallel,” Chouhan stated.

UPA Leaders Reaction On The Survey

Three-time AAP MLA Somnath Bharti has challenged that he will shave off his hair if Modi becomes Prime Minister for a third time, asserting that all exit poll results will be proven wrong.

“I will shave off my head if Mr Modi becomes PM for the third time. Mark my word!,” Bharti wrote in a post on X.

He further added, “All exit polls will be proven wrong on 4th June and Modi ji will not become prime minister for the third time. In Delhi, all seven seats will go to India ALLIANCE.”

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate dismissed the exit poll surveys as “Narendra Modi’s exit polls.”

“The exit poll from the public gives 295 seats to INDIA, and this number will only increase,” Shrinate noted.

Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Congress leader Harish Singh Rawat commented, “As per our assessment, we, along with the TMC, will win around 300 seats and the INDIA alliance will form the government. I feel that the exit polls are based on pre-poll surveys conducted by the (media) organisations. There has been a huge change in the mindset of the public over the past 2.5 months and people want a change now.”
