EPFO members can use its portal or UMANG app to access their services online
Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has announced the launch of various online services on Twitter. Pensioners will especially benefit from the latest initiative of EPFO. Thousands of pensioners of the country are connected with EPFO. Senior persons earlier had to go through the inconvenience of commuting to the offices. They can now access this facility from the comfort of their homes as most of the services are now provided online. Let us have a look at the online services being provided.
Now, EPFO members can use their portal or UMANG app to access their services online. This includes digital life certificate submission, pension passbook checking, pension payment order (PPO) download through Digi-Locker and pension claim online from the comfort of your home through mobile app.
National e-Governance Division and Ministry of Electronics and Information to promote Mobile Governance in India technology Jointly developed the UMANG app. The UMANG app makes it easy for residents to access national and local government agencies as well as other services. Now, a wide variety of services can be availed through this single platform. On your Android phone, you can get this app from the Google Play Store.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is responsible for overseeing the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), an employee retirement program. In the EPF programme, both the employee and their employer make equal monthly contributions. 12 per cent of the basic pay and dearness allowance make up this amount. The Employees’ Pension Scheme receives 8.33% of the company’s contribution concurrently (EPS).
