Ensure law and order on Hanuman Jayanti tomorrow: MHA to States, days after Ram Navami clashes

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday issued an advisory to all states to maintain law and order in view of Hanuman Jayanti, which will be celebrated across the country on Thursday. The Centre’s advisory comes in the wake of violence last week on the occasion of Ram Navami in states including Bihar and West Bengal.

“Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an advisory to all states to prepare for Hanuman Jayanti. Governments are encouraged to ensure maintenance of law and order, peaceful observance of the festival and monitoring of any factor that disturbs communal harmony in the society.” is done.” the office said.

The Union Home Ministry’s advisory to all states and union territories comes in the wake of communal violence in different parts of the country during Ram Navami last week.

“State/UT governments are encouraged to ensure the maintenance of law and order, peaceful conduct of the festival and monitoring of any factors that disturb communal harmony in the society,” the home minister’s office tweeted.

Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated across the country on 6th April.
