Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in excellent form for some time now. After a successful outing in the Indian Premier League with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kumar made a strong statement for his place in the T20 World Cup squad, after making back to back performances for the national team.

Kumar, who has faced several issues with his fitness over the years, has pleasantly surprised people with his consistency for the national team. Asked by reporters at the press conference about his tryst with fitness and whether he thinks his India career is over, the right-arm pacer said he never considered it.

“I never thought it was me, but yes, I was working with physios, coaches and doing my job. And of course, you’re never confident when you’re out of the game You just feel a little disappointed or disappointed, but you want to come back. And luckily I know I’m back and (I’m) playing for India again.”

Kumar is at the top of the bowling line-up, swinging the white ball under the lights. This has put the top-order batsmen in trouble, which essentially sets the tone for the rest of the innings.

“When the ball swings, you definitely enjoy. The ball hasn’t helped much in England in the last few years but this year it is more. The swing of the white ball from the front is a motivating factor for the fast bowler and the batsmen have to take their chances. We know Butler is a dangerous player. If the ball swings, I go for the wicket and it works. If the ball swings, it motivates you to work against a particular batsman.

The Indian bowling line-up is shaping up quite well ahead of the T20 World Cup. With the return of Hardik Pandya, India have been able to enforce their middle order and have won back to back matches against England by a huge margin.
