The birth certificate of TMC leader Nusrat Jahan’s newborn son shows her alleged partner Debashish Dasgupta, also known as Yash Dasgupta, as the father amid speculations of the child’s paternity. Yashan J Dasgupta’s certificate lists Yash as father and Nusrat as mother and his date of birth as August 26.
Nusrat has been with her alleged boyfriend Yash since pregnancy. Yash is also an actor and had joined the BJP earlier this year ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. Nusrat, 35, has accompanied him for his hospital visits.
Recently, Nusrat shared a picture on Instagram in which she gave photo credit to ‘Daddy’. He wrote, “Don’t take criticism from people you wouldn’t consult… #newrole #newmommylife #newlook Image courtesy: daddy.”

The TMC leader, whose marriage with businessman Nikhil Jain was under the public lens, said it was void and compared it to a live-in relationship, having earlier said that she would not reveal the name of the father of her child.
Nusrat and Zain took the wedding vows in Turkey in 2019. However, Nusrat denied the status of marriage in India. She claimed that the marriage was void under Indian laws and that Nikhil was her live-in-partner. He also accused them of withdrawing money from his account.
Nikhil denied the allegations and later wished their child well. He told News18, “I wish him and the child a healthy life. May the child grow up and prosper in life. My differences with him didn’t stop me from wishing the best for the newborn. May the child be super healthy and have a prosperous future.”
Nusrat’s relationship with Yash has been a matter of curiosity, especially after she had gone to Jaipur and Ajmer Sharif with the BJP leader some time back and their pictures went viral. Meanwhile, her pregnancy has created curiosity among the people.
