Emmy Awards return with live audience
Actor Cedric Antonio Kyles, better known by his stage name Cedric the Entertainer, will host the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards as the show returns to a live show this year. According to a press release, the ceremony, organized by CBS and the Television Academy, will be held on September 19.
This will be the first stint for Cedric the Entertainer, star of CBS’s hit comedy series “The Neighborhood,” as Master of Ceremony for the event.

This year’s broadcast will take place at the Microsoft Theater in a live, in-person Emmy Awards ceremony with a limited audience of nominees and their guests.
Emmy Award-nominated producers Reginald Hudlin and Ian Stewart will executive produce and Hamish Hamilton will direct the broadcast for production companies Dunn + Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment.
