Emirates’ Dubai-Australia Airbus A380 plane suffers from large hole in fuselage

An unusual incident occurred on 1 July when an Emirates Airbus A380 flying from Dubai to Brisbane landed at Brisbane International Airport with a large hole. It was reported that a loud ‘explosion’ was heard shortly after flight EK 430 took off from Dubai International Airport at 03:11 GST and the crew suspected a tire burst.

Upon arrival in Brisbane, the crew on board advised Air Traffic Control that they suspected a tire burst shortly after takeoff from Dubai International Airport. The crew then requested emergency services on stand-by. After a flight of over 13.5 hours, the aircraft was moved to the apron and a hole could be seen in the left arm wing of the fuselage,

Reports suggest that a bolt may have been missing from the nose wheel of the aircraft upon landing in Brisbane. The cause of damage is yet to be confirmed. The plane is lying on the ground after the incident.
