By India Today Web DeskIn a live Q&A on a wide range of topics including Hunter Biden’s laptop story, Twitter chief Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, claimed there is a “quite significant” risk that he will be assassinated.

In a two-hour-long conversation on Twitter Space, Musk told his listeners that he would “not be doing any open-air car parades.”

He said, “Frankly the risk of something bad happening to me or even literally getting shot is significant enough.”

He added, “It’s not that hard to kill someone if you want to, so hopefully they don’t and luck smiles on me on the situation and it doesn’t happen. There’s definitely some risk there.”

Tesla CEO and Chief Tweet, a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist”, also said that at the end of the day, everyone wants a future where they are not oppressed.

hunter biden laptop story

Elon Musk promised a Q&A over Twitter’s “suppression” of a controversial New York Post newspaper story about the laptop of Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, that was published ahead of the 2020 US election.

Story claims to be emails obtained from one of Hunter Biden’s laptops. The New York Post said it learned of the existence of the emails from Steve Bannon, Trump’s former White House chief strategist, and received emails from Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney at the time.

Twitter initially limited distribution of the story, citing concerns that it could be the result of a foreign disinformation campaign. But the social media company quickly backtracked on its response, with then-CEO Jack Dorsey deeming the decision to block the link “unacceptable”.

A series of tweets as well as internal communications from Twitter were released by author Matt Taibbi in connection with allegations that the social media platform suppressed news and information related to Hunter’s laptop during the 2020 election cycle.
