The political resolution passed during the National Executive points to the electoral success of the BJP in the Northeast. Sarma said that Shah has committed to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
“The BJP has established itself in the northeastern region and politics will be free from dynastic politics, including in West Bengal and Telangana,” Sarma said.
Hitting out at the Congress, Sarma said the party was electing the president as internal democracy demanded and he feared that he would be defeated if free and fair elections are held.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Shah described the Supreme Court’s decision in the Gujarat riots case as ‘historic’.
He also said that the allegations against Modi were said to be baseless and the PM fought without saying anything and “drank poison like Lord Shiva”.
Shah made a scathing remark on the opposition, terming it “disappointing” as it criticized the abrogation of Article 370, the nectar festival of freedom, surgical strikes, International Yoga Day, COVID-19 vaccination campaign and any government policy for the welfare of the country. opposed. ,
