Eid al-Adha is a major festival for the people of Islam

For Muslims, Eid al-Adha, also known as the Eid of Sacrifice, is an important festival. It is celebrated approximately 70 days after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Islamic tradition, Hazrat Ibrahim planned to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail on this day as a sign of obedience to God, then Allah gave life to his son, in whose memory this festival is celebrated.

Eid-e-Qurban means the spirit of sacrifice

Qurba in Arabic is pronounced near or very close, which means that on this occasion Allah becomes very close to man.

Qurbani refers to the sacrifice of an animal that is sacrificed to please God on the 10th, 11th, 12th or 13th day of Zil Hajj (month of Hajj). It is written in the Qur’an: We have given you Hauz-e-Kausar, so you pray to your Allah and do the sacrifice.

Eid-al-Adha 2022: Chief Minister Yogi congratulated the people of the state

On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the people of the state on the festival of Eid-ul-Azha. In a statement, the Chief Minister in his congratulatory message said that the festival of Eid-ul-Adha should bring everyone to live together and bring about social harmony.
