Singer Ed Sheeran will honor the late Prince Philip at this year’s Platinum Jubilee. The Grammy-winning musician is set to pay a musical tribute to the Queen and her late husband during a special celebration on June 6.

As reported by aceshowbiz.com, the pop star is planning to sing her love song ‘Perfect’ in honor of the couple’s long romance during the Jubilee pageant in London, which celebrates four days to mark 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II. is part of.

The crooner will perform the track at the conclusion of a carnival procession through the streets of the UK capital and the performance will feature a giant screen filled with images of the Queen and Prince Philip, according to the Daily Mail.

The Queen was married to Philip for 77 years. He died in April 2021 at the age of 99.

The outlet also reported that the Jubilee pageant will feature other tributes to the monarch and her late husband, including a Bollywood re-imagining of their wedding, Philip’s sailing boat Bluebottle and representations of puppet corgis and horses.

Reports suggest that 250 Bollywood dancers will perform on the soundtrack of classic Bollywood songs at the Mall of London.

The Jubilee Pageant is a 3 km carnival procession that draws in thousands and will culminate at Buckingham Palace with the singing of the national anthem, led by a gospel choir and a military band.

It will mark the end of four days of celebrations across the country, starting on Thursday, June 2 with a special Trooping the Color parade and a flypast featuring 70 aircraft, including the Red Arrows.

Festivities also include a service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, 3 June and a concert outside Buckingham Palace on Saturday, 4 June.
