ATS sources said that IIT passout Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi was as eccentric as he looked in the interrogation so far. He became equally clever as soon as he appeared in court. At 11.15 am on Monday, Murtaza was produced in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Prabhat Tripathi in the civil court. The ATS requested the court to extend the remand, citing the evidence related to this case and its terrorist connections. While hearing the application of ATS, the court asked Murtaza that you have something to say in your explanation? Murtaza bowed his head and said – no. Now the court has given the date of April 16 for hearing. On April 16, the hearing will be held in Gorakhpur court itself.

Case may be transferred to ATS Court Lucknow
During the hearing, Mortaza stood silently in the courtroom. Apart from the security personnel in the court, Public Prosecutor (APO) of this case SK Pathak was also present. ATS told the court that the case in this case has been transferred from Gorakhpur Police to ATS. In such a situation, ATS has also demanded transfer of Murtaza case to ATS court.

At present, the ATS is interrogating him by keeping him at the ATS office located at Police Lines. After receiving the remand order by evening, ATS will take it back to Lucknow.
