Deepak Bhattacharya, Howrah: Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected the Howrah-Bolpur railway section. The GM also visited Bolpur Shantiniketan Railway Station. He went around the station premises and saw the passenger facilities. Also closely watched the work being done in the direction of safety and security by the station administration. According to the information, on Saturday, GM Manoj Joshi along with Howrah DRM and other top officials inspected the Howrah-Bolpur section from the inspection vehicle. During this, the GM saw the condition of railway gates, over bridges, tracks, rail crossings, bridges etc.
GM saw the arrangements at Bolpur Shantiniketan station including booking office, passenger waiting room, drinking water, toilets and other places. He inquired about the passenger facilities being provided by the station administration. After this, the GM inspected the Gitanjali Sangrahalaya built at Bolpur station. The GM directed to further improve the passenger amenities and service in Bolpur. On this occasion, along with the GM, his wife and President of Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization, Deepti Joshi was also present.
