Champhai: An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Champhai in Mizoram on Monday, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed. According to NCS, the earthquake in Champhai occurred at 6:16 am.

Earlier on Monday, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 32 km, hit Campbell Bay, Nicobar Islands in the early hours. The earthquake hit Nicobar Islands at around 2.26 am, the NCS said.
