The tremors of the earthquake were felt for about 5-8 seconds. Earthquake tremors were felt in many places including Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana and Sikar Jhunjhunu in Shekhawati district of Rajasthan.

An earthquake of 6.6 magnitude hit the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Tuesday night, causing strong tremors to be felt in areas of north India including Delhi-NCR. Residents fled their homes in fear after tremors were felt in northern India at around 10.20 pm. Earthquake tremors were felt in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. There were no reports of casualties or damage to property at that time. According to the National Institute for Seismology, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred 133 kilometers southeast of Faizabad in Afghanistan.
These tremors were also reported in Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other parts of northern India. Right after the tremors, social media was flooded with earthquake memes. Earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir.
The vibrations were so intense that ceiling fans and chandeliers shook. According to reports, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. People of Jammu and Kashmir came out of their homes in Srinagar after strong earthquake tremors were felt in several parts of northern India.

The maximum intensity of the earthquake has not yet been confirmed. On the other hand, an earthquake with a Richter magnitude of 7.0 or more is considered more dangerous than normal.
