Emraan Hashmi is making his digital debut with the upcoming horror-thriller Dybbook: The Curse Is Real. The teaser of the film released today by Amazon Prime Video marks the actor’s return to the horror genre after films like Raaz 3 and Ek Thi Daayan. The Nikita Dutta starrer is all set to release on October 29. Written and directed by J.K., the Amazon Original film is an official remake of the 2017 Malayalam blockbuster film Ezra, and has music by Clinton Cerejo.
Keeping the spirit of Halloween alive, the teaser sets the tone for a season of horror movies. Apart from Emraan, the film also stars Nikita Dutta and Manav Kaul in pivotal roles. The ominous teaser features Nikita’s character opening a diabbook box with trouble written around it. What happens next is a series of horrific events that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Emraan Hashmi was last seen in the suspense thriller Chehre, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan. The film was released theatrically after theaters opened in some states.
