The wait is over for Priyanka Chahar Choudhary’s fans. The actress will make her web series debut with Ektaa Kapoor’s Dus June Kii Raat soon. Priyanka became a renowned face as Tejo in the daily soap Udaariyaan. Later, she cemented her position in the entertainment industry after participating on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16. Since then, her fans have been anticipating her return on screen. The trailer for the upcoming series is out, and Priyanka is expected to win the hearts of the audience once more.
Streaming partner Jio Cinema shared the trailer, with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Tusshar Kapoor leading the comedy-thriller series. Set in the town of Raniganj, this series promises to bring an ideal blend of comedy and thrill. The hilarious plot follows the unusual life of Bhagyesh (Tusshar Kapoor), popularly referred to as Panauti, a guy whose reputation for bad luck is so well-known.
Born on the awful day his father died, his misfortune also resulted in the closure of his father’s legendary single-screen cinema. Bhagyesh dreams of reopening the theatre, but his journey is full of unexpected, hilarious twists and turns as he discovers a dead body. Priyanka plays the love interest for Bhagyesh’s character, as per the trailer.
Apart from Ektaa Kapoor, Sachin Mohite will co-produce Dus June Kii Raat under the Jaasvand Entertainment banner. This is the first time Priyanka and Tusshar would be seen on screen together. Jio Cinema has also shared a poster for Dus June Kii Raat and confirmed the release date. The caption read, “Sabka shani bhari hone wala hai! Dus June Kii Raat, streaming 4th August onwards.”

Sharing more insights about the series, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary stated, “Before this show came to me, I was actively looking for roles that would challenge me and explore my capabilities as an actor. This series does exactly that, and I’m super excited to be a part of it. This character is a lot more than what meets the eye – deeply layered and nuanced, which made me want to embody her,” reported Moneycontrol.
Professionally, after Bigg Boss 16, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was seen in several music videos like Kuch Itne Haseen, Baarish Aa Gayi Hai and more.
