Dulquer Salmaan shares first look posters of two new films ‘King of Kotha’ and ‘Othiram Kadamam’

south superstar Dulquer Salmaan Celebrated his 35th birthday on Wednesday by revealing two new projects – “Kotha Ke Raja” and “Othiram Kadamam”. On his Instagram, the actor also shared his first look from the upcoming films “Kurup” and “Salute” as well as an untitled Telugu project. Salman is working with debutant filmmaker Abhilash Joshi for ‘King of Kotha’.

“Here is the first look poster of a dream project with my first and best friend Abhilash Joshi. We have known each other since diaper times and grew up with our common love for cinema and cars and photography and travel,” he wrote.

The “Caravan” actor said he and Joshi have been waiting for the past few years to find a perfect project for them to collaborate on. “Finally we think we have closed something that excites us and hope you all enjoy it. “Othiram Kadamam” will be helmed by director Soubin Shahir and Salman will produce the project through his banner Wayfarer Films.

The actor wrote, “Totally channeling the vibrancy of birthdays!! Excited to announce this brand new film ‘Othiram Kadamam’.” Salman, who made a guest appearance in Shahir’s 2017 film “Parwa”, said the filmmaker has “superb beauty and a keen sense of cinema”.

“This time he discusses a full length role in his next film and I know that in his hands I will be exploring characters and nuances that I have never done before. This will be my second film with my machan Soubin directorial debut. Wearing a hat and can’t wait to start filming!!” she added.

As far as ‘Kurup’ is concerned, the South actor said that the film will release soon.

Directed by Srinath Rajendran, the film is said to be based on the life of fugitive criminal Sukumara Kurup. The film will reportedly also feature Indrajit Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sobhita Dhulipala, Manoj Bajpayee and Maya Menon in supporting roles.

Salman said that he has finished shooting for ‘Salute’ and the film will release later this year. He wrote, “To all those who are showering so much love on me, here’s a new poster of Team Salute. Directed by Rosshan Andrews, “Salute” will also feature Diana Penty, Manoj K Jayan, Saniya Iyappan and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy in pivotal roles.

Salman’s untitled Telugu film is by Vyjayanthi Films. It is being directed by Hanu Raghavpudi.

Earlier in the day, the makers of the film decided to celebrate the actor’s birthday by dropping the poster of the film.

“Happy Birthday Ram aka @dqsalmaan! You have brought life to this character with your hard work. May you be even brighter!” Raghavpudi wrote on Instagram.
